Our Founder
Geraldine Anders, a former business manager and mother of two, wanted to reduce her families trash contribution to local landfills and teach her children how the smallest endeavors can significantly impact the planet. In 2007 she created FabiKins® an eco-friendly organic bamboo cotton blend cloth napkin that does away with disposable napkins and towls. Inspired by healthy living, she wanted to bring beauty and ecological consciousness to the dinner table. She discovered her children and guests never touched anything so soft!
"The idea came from my husband's family. He grew up with everyday napkins color coded for each family member. For FabiKins it was important for us to offer eco-friendly fabrics because simply put these fabrics are better for the earth. We want our customers to feel good about our company, our products and know that we are committed to environmental awareness and helping our planet."
Our Mission
The mission of FabiKins® is to reduce paper waste, save trees, teach environmental awareness through actions, and help the planet. FabiKins® uses only Oeko-Tex Standard 100 bamboo and organic cotton. Bamboo is one of nature's most sustainable and renewable resources, it's fast growing, naturally antibacterial, hypo-allergenic, needs no fertilizers or pesticides to grow and is 100% biodegradable. Oeko-Tex Standard 100 bamboo has been certified and tested not to contain any harmful substances. Organic cotton is the best choice and the only choice for FabiKins® because it is grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment helping to avoid harmful pesticides from leeching into our waterways and drinking water.
